Mr. Kalifé is a Dominican actor, model, artist and composer. Kalifé was born and raised in Santo Domingo in the KM 11 neighborhood – a neighborhood of low-income families.
Since he was a child, Kalifé aspired to be a player. However, due to the poverty in which he lived he had to give up his dream and start working at the age of 13. In the neighborhood, Kalifé learned to rape with his neighbors and friends; where he rapped about what they lived day to day on the street.
Already a teenager, Kalifé records several songs and begins to do concerts in the Dominican Republic. Then Kalifé moved to Minnesota, United States, where he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Communication Studies. During his studies, Kalifé took acting and theater classes and at that moment his passion for acting was born.
As an actor, Kalifé has participated in countless television commercials in the USA; including commercials for the Super Bowl; as well as national commercials. Kalifé has also worked on several featured short films and films.
Kalifé currently works as an actor/model for various modeling and talent agencies in Minnesota and Chicago, USA.
In 2020 Kalifé relaunches his career as an artist. His musical focus is dembow, reggaeton, mambo and trap. In August 2020, Kalifé released his first music video, Alborotao, which has more than one million views on YouYube.
